You know...
when you said "things I've learned" I didn't expected what you had studied but you know... what you had learned... well... you know... what you have studied is the subset of what you've learned...
However... we humans tend to refer to "what you have learned" minus "what you have studied" when you said "what you have learned"... you know...
I think I've gotta practice English more...

Even you take note for your own, you still write in those concise form.
Depending on one's style, may be you are comfortable with that form the most. Yet... I think the concise mathematical form is widespread enough. Say, cyber community i.e. wolfram will store that form for you.
Anyway, I would like to see more of your progress. And how will those generalized metric notations are utilized...
